Being a human can feel really hard sometimes, and living life according to someone else’s expectations—your partner, a parent, a family member or even broader society—can make it feel impossible, and ain’t nobody got time for that.

As a therapist (and okay, as a person in general), I’ve got a reputation as a challenger; I’m not going to let your inner critic, your self-doubt, your imposter syndrome or your mother’s opinions dictate your life anymore because, damnit, you deserve better and you’re worth the work it’s gonna take to feel and live better.

There’s no other way of life quite like farming in Canada. The weather, the markets, the down cows, the family dynamics, the equipment breakdowns, the whole feeding-the-world thing. It’s beautifully tragic every single day. I know because I was a dairy and crop farmer for almost 20 years. 

If you’re a farmer or person connected to Canadian agriculture, you can trust my approach to therapy. Helping you feel better won’t be based on me telling you to slow down, leave work at work or take time off—because literally none of those are applicable to farmers.

Online therapy with me offers you countless benefits—the best are that you don’t have travel to my office AND you get to arrive to therapy each time from within the comfort of your own space. That means if you want to wear your comfies and have your pets in the room for support, you can!

When you decide to do online therapy with me, all I ask is that you have a quiet, relatively private space with a solid internet connection to retreat to for the duration of the session (50 minutes). So, feel free to let your partner, kids, roommates or noisy neighbours know they’ll see you in about an hour and to not interrupt unless it’s an emergency. Sometimes, clients will even retreat to their (parked, turned off) car for their session if their household is particularly feral at therapy time!

It’s entirely up to you where your therapy space will be—but comfortable and sheltered from the elements should be a given. Floofs, comfies and hot coffee/tea optional (but highly recommended).
